The Realme GT 7 Pro is here, and it looks like Realme has really moved into flagship territory. The GT series has always held promise, but with the GT7 Pro, realme has finally bridged the gap between capability and delivery. From its stunning design and powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor to its exceptional camera setup and innovative AI features, this phone feels like a statement. It’s not just a smartphone; Realme is saying, “We are back.” But does it live up to the hype? After weeks of testing, here’s my opinion on what makes this device shine – and where it falters.
-The design of Realme GT 7 Pro is a head-turner. I reviewed the Mars Orange version, and it is absolutely gorgeous. The vibrant matte finish strikes the perfect balance between bold and understated, while the sand-textured back adds a unique tactile experience. The phone is built like a tank, with an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance – a rare feature at this price. With 8.55mm thickness and 222.8g weight, it feels solid in the hand but remains comfortable to use. The flat metal frame offers a sturdy grip, and the well-placed buttons are easy to reach.
The camera module is sleek and avoids the oversized surrounds that have become common in other flagships. The design feels premium overall, proving that Realme has considered every detail. Be it aesthetics or durability, the GT7 Pro sets a new standard for realme.
-The 6.78-inch OLED Plus display on the GT7 Pro is stunning. With a 2780×1264 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, this screen is made for immersive experiences. Whether I was watching a show or gaming, visuals were vibrant and clear with deep blacks and vibrant colors.
Outdoor visibility is excellent thanks to its 6500 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest displays I’ve tested. Customizable settings like adaptive tone and eye comfort ensure the screen suits your needs. Stereo speakers complement the display perfectly, delivering rich and immersive sound. From movies to games, this phone turns multimedia consumption into a feast.
-Performance and battery life
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the GT7 Pro is a beast. It handles everything from intense gaming sessions to multitasking with ease. During testing, I ran demanding apps, edited videos, and played games at high settings without any noticeable lag. Although the phone does get a little warm during extended gaming, that’s not unusual for a flagship.
The battery is a standout feature. The 5800mAh capacity easily lasted for a day and a half during heavy usage, and in lighter scenarios, it lasted for two days. The 120W SUPERVOOC charging is a lifesaver, charging the phone from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes and fully charging it in less than 40 minutes.
-The camera system of the GT7 Pro is amazing. The 50MP primary sensor captures surprisingly detailed photos with brilliant colours, especially in daylight. The telephoto lens with 6X zoom is a game-changer for capturing distant objects without losing quality. Even the 120X digital zoom performs surprisingly well and maintains good clarity.
A fun surprise was the underwater photography mode, which automatically activates when submerged in water. It’s perfect for poolside adventures or casual underwater shots. While performance in low light could be improved – bright lights sometimes cause glare – AI-powered features like the eraser tool and blur correction compensate for this.
The Realme GT 7 Pro isn’t just a phone—it’s a statement. With its flagship specifications, innovative features and solid build quality, it is one of the most exciting devices in its price range. Whether you’re a gamer, photographer, or someone who wants a premium experience without breaking the bank, the GT7 Pro delivers.
If realme’s aim was to make a comeback, the GT7 Pro has done it brilliantly.
