What makes Rasam Maggi so special?

This Maggi recipe is perfect for those who love to experiment with flavours. Made with freshly roasted spices and tomatoes, this tangy broth gives Maggi a peppy flavour that goes just right with the soft, tangy noodles. The best part about this recipe is that it is extremely versatile and easy to make, so even if you are new to the kitchen, you can enjoy the taste of this unique recipe. Whether enjoyed alone on a rainy day or shared with friends and family, Rasam Maggi offers a burst of flavours that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

How to ensure your Rasam Maggi doesn’t turn soggy?

To ensure that your Rasam Maggi does not turn out soggy and lumpy, make sure to boil the noodles only till 80 per cent. This is because when you add the noodles to the spice mixture, it will absorb the flavour and get completely cooked in it. Also, make sure to add the boiled noodles to the rasam mixture gently so that you do not break the noodles. Let the flavours infuse into the spice mixture and the noodles to form a wonderful blend of tangy flavours.

Rasam Maggi recipe | How to make Rasam Maggi at home

It is very easy to make Rasam Maggi at home. This recipe has been shared by digital creator @bhukkadintown on Instagram. To make it:

1. Prepare the Rasam Powder

Heat a pan and dry roast cumin seeds, black pepper, chopped garlic cloves and curry leaves. Once cooked, let it cool and then grind it finely using a blender or mortar and pestle.

2. Boil the noodles

Boil some water in a pan and cook the Maggi noodles as per the instructions on the packet. Drain the water and keep it aside.

3. Prepare the Tadka

Heat some oil in the same pan and add mustard seeds. Let them crackle. Then add cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Fry for a minute until fragrant.

4. Add other ingredients

Add crushed tomatoes, turmeric powder, homemade rasam powder, Maggi masala and salt to this mixture. Mix well and add water. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.

5. Add noodles

Once the masala is ready, add the cooked Maggi noodles to the rasam mixture. Mix well and let it cook for a few minutes so that the noodles absorb the flavour.

6. Garnish

Garnish the cooked noodles with chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut and podi masala. Serve hot!

Bonus Tip:

If you want to increase the protein content in these noodles, crack an egg into it and add pieces of boiled chicken! (Thank us later!)
