Ranveer Singh to join Game Changer director Shankar’s dream project Velpari? Everything we know so far

Ranveer Singh is celebrating the success of his spy film Dhurandhar, which is still running in theaters despite stiff competition from Border 2 and other projects. The lead actor, who has impressed the audience with his work, has had a good start to the year and looks like he is looking to add another impressive title to his kitty. According to a report in Mid-Day, he is in talks with director Shankar for his much-awaited film Velpari.

Earlier, the director and actor were rumored to be joining hands for Anniyan. However, their 2021 collaboration never came to fruition and fans were forced to demand answers. Looks like their time has come, as rumors are flying that the two are working together on the big project Velpari.

It is being said that this film will be a two-hero project, in which apart from Ranveer Singh, Tamil industry actor Vikram Velpari will direct. Kollywood star and Bollywood biggie may make this their first collaboration, for which there is a lot of excitement already.

About Velpari

It is believed that Velpari will be director Shankar’s big dream project. After talking about working on the film during several conversations, the audience is waiting for some concrete update from the star filmmaker. Based on the Tamil language historical fiction novel written by Su. Venkatesan, Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari, this film will pique the interest of fans who have been interested in its adaptation for a long time.

The original work was published in the Tamil weekly magazine Ananda Vikatan from 2016 to 2018 and is available in two editions, which has been able to reach a regular local audience and build a strong fan base. According to reports, the film will be based on the story of ruler Vel Pari, who fought against the Chera, Chola and Pandya rule.

Official news is awaited from the producers of the project as well as Ranveer Singh regarding his joining the project.
