Randeep Hooda and Lin Lishram were married in November 2023 after traditional Manipuri customs. While the couple has been happily married for more than a year, recently the Jat actor admitted that he never intended to marry.
Talking with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Randeep Hooda talked about his marriage to Lin Lishram and clearly mentioned, “Marriage carne is not the mood of the carne, Nahin Thakni Jesa Jesa was the chief (I did not intend to get married because of what I had seen).”
He further mentioned in jokingly that he was unhappy in school and thought of never bringing any other person in this world who went through school education like him. However, he expressed happiness, somehow he and his wife Lynn crossed the way to Lishram.
The Jat actor shared a comedy that he tells everyone in Haryana that he does not have a government job, and that’s why he was late to marry. When asked about choosing a north-eastern girl to get married, Hooda said that it is also a part of our country. He emphasized that when someone is in love, caste, religion, country or age, it does not really matter.
He also talked about obstacles on his marriage path, as he shared, “There were complications. Like someone else, my parents also wanted me to marry within the community. It is quite prevalent in JAT. In fact, I am the first person to marry a non-Jat to my family. So everyone had a problem with it, but it went slowly,” he shared. “
Walking under the memory lane, Randeep remembered that he was tension in Manipur while he was getting married. However, he thought that the wedding should take place in the bride’s city, and he wanted to respect his wife and his family’s culture.
Randeep highlighted the support of an army brigadier as his family members stayed at their home in view of the tension in the state. He shared that his family had only 10 members to avoid the burden on the bride’s family, while the security personnel were more.
On a closing note, Hooda expressed happiness about the love received for his simple marriage. Despite no internet, their marriage was alive, and the actors remained unaware of who arranged for this.
