Fans eager to see Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram and Yash’s Ravana share the screen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan will have to wait a little longer. Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Ranbir revealed that the much-awaited face-off between the two characters has not been filmed yet, while the first installment is gearing up for a Diwali release.

Ramayana: Part 1 It is expected to release this Diwali, while the second installment will hit the theaters on Diwali 2027. Expectations are already high for Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s on-screen clash, with the actor saying that the biggest moments between Lord Ram and Ravana appear later in the story, which is why the two have not shot together yet.

Talking about sharing the screen with Yash, Ranbir said, “Lord Ram and Ravana will be seen together at the end of the film, maybe there will be a meeting in the middle. But we haven’t shot it. So, we haven’t had the opportunity to work together. But, I have known Yash for quite some time now, and I have been a huge fan of his work. I really believe that we needed someone with his aura, his stardom, his attitude to play this role.”
