Sandeep Reddy Wanga collaborated with Ranbir Kapoor for his 2023 release, Animal. Despite the extreme reactions, the film became a blockbuster at the box office. Some scenes of the film became a detailed subject of discussion. One of which was Kapoor’s N*de walk sequence, which was recently shot by the director easily due to Kapoor’s supporting nature.
During a recent conversation with Komal Nahta, Sandeep Reddy Wanga credited the animal’s success between him and Ranbir Kapoor. He emphasized how the actor believed in the director’s sentence and even when he asked him if he was going in the right direction, Kapoor would encourage him to tell him what he wanted to do and did not ask anything.
The director of Kabir Singh explained his point by giving an example of an N*de walk scene in Animal. He revealed that he initially used prosthetics for the thighs and lower body, which was perfect during the Test shoot. However, when they were actually shooting for it, it did not look good.
“In fact, we planned to shoot the scene in full focus and used props to cover the waist to use props. However, because of not working properly, I said that we would take out the scene carefully, ”he further said.
The director mentioned that this was one of the reasons for an actor to tease, especially when the measurements were prepared for the preparation of prosthetics and visual preparation hours in advance. However, The Love and War actor said he was fine with shooting it in a different way.
“He immediately said right. There was no discussion. It was a ten-minute conversation, where I said it would make it more scary and curious by shooting in out-of-focus. And he was ready, “Wanga said.
The filmmaker further reiterated that such a bond between the actor and the director makes things very comfortable. According to him, it can result in anything, but he said that with an understanding, the film becomes fun to work, and it is all about faith.
