As the first glimpse of ‘Ramayana’ was released on Thursday, many celebrities shared their excitement for the film. Filmmaker Karan Johar and actors Alia Bhatt and Sargun Mehta were among the popular personalities who shared that they could not wait for its Diwali 2026 release.

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared the first glimpse on his Instagram story and wrote, “This is what a mega blockbuster looks and it seems!

Alia Bhatt was happy for her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor’s film and wrote, “Some things do not need words. It seems like the beginning of some unforgettable. Diwali 2026-we are waiting (SIC).

Sargun Mehta expressed that his heart is swollen with love and gratitude because he sees teasers and names on the film’s poster.

In the Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor is Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is produced by Namit Malhotra and co-produced by Yash. The film is supported by Prime Focus Studio and Monster Mind Creation, with the cooperation of DNEG-Oscar winner VFX Powerhouse.

The first part of the film is scheduled for release at Diwali 2026 and the second part at Diwali 2027.
