Ram Gopal Varma is a prolific filmmaker in the Hindi film industry who is famous for making films like Sarkar, Raat, Bhoot, Company and others starring Amitabh Bachchan. The filmmaker, known for showcasing serious and raw action in his films, recently praised Sandeep Reddy Vanga and his film Animal, admitting that he is still ‘haunted’ by the action shown in the film.

Ram Gopal Varma sat down for an exclusive chat with Reddy at the Animal Vs Wild Animals event. They exchanged some important thoughts on their passion for cinema, years of experience and creating intense moments in their respective films.

Apart from other films, RGV discussed the violence shown in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, which became a significant point of discussion among the public. He praised Vanga’s portrayal of violence and found it effective as the violence was driven by the intense emotions of the characters, including Ranbir and Bobby Deol. The Sarkar filmmaker recalled a scene from his film and drew a parallel between the violence shown in it.

He noted, “It was more impressive than watching armies fighting each other. In fact, I remember hearing Nagarjuna narrate about Shiva when he was shooting for Agni Putrudu. I told him that Shiva The violence will be more serious than bombings and stabbings.” Being cut.”

Ram Gopal Varma further explained how the film’s violence affected him, saying, “I felt the same with Ranbir’s scenes in Animal, especially with the low angle shots. It still haunts me.”

Furthermore, he praised Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s relatively calm demeanor, which is in contrast to the violent scenes shown in his films. Varma said, “I have never seen anger in you. Maybe you reserve it for your characters, or you are behaving as if you don’t have that anger or you are different from the characters you created. Are.”

Animal starred Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Trupti Dimri, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles. The film focused on the story of a father-son relationship and became one of the highest-grossing films of 2023. Its sequel, Animal Park, has also been announced by the makers.
