Actor Ram Charan and his wife, entrepreneur Upasana Konidela, shared the first glimpse of their newborn twins with fans on Sunday. In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a photo showing the hands of their three children and wrote, “Hearts are full” with infinity emojis.

The twins are a boy, Shivaram, and a girl, Anvira Devi. The post also gave fans the first public glimpse of the couple’s children, including their eldest daughter, Clynn Cara, who was born on June 20, 2023.

Charan had earlier explained the meaning behind the names in an interview Diversity. He said that Shivram represents devotion and lineage. According to them, this name is derived from Lord Shiva and Lord Rama and symbolizes strength with restraint and righteousness with compassion. He also said that the name carries forward the birth name of his father Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad.

Talking about his daughter’s name, Charan said, “Veera symbolizes bravery, and the ‘N’ expands it to something limitless. ‘Devi’ is intentional – a reminder that strength and grace can co-exist. For us, these names are not just identifiers. They are aspirations of strength, love and courage.”

Upasana had earlier also talked about becoming a mother for the second time. He described the experience as calmer and more aware. She said, “For the first time, everything is new – beautiful, but overwhelming. This time, I feel much more relaxed and grounded. I have learned to not give up and panic over small things anymore.”

She said parenting the twins with her older daughter Cara has been difficult and fulfilling. She added, “Seeing all three of our children together brings an extraordinary sense of fulfillment. Ram has been incredibly hands-on, especially with Cara. For us, making sure each child feels equally loved and safe really makes a difference.”

Upasana also said that she remained active during her pregnancy. She said, “In my line of work, there’s really no vacation – I’m stuck that way. My work gives me purpose and happiness, and my kids give me pure joy. Both deserve attention and space to grow in their own ways.”

Ram and Upasana got engaged in December 2011 and got married in June 2012. They were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic. Upasana is the granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy, while Ram is the son of megastar Chiranjeevi.
