Ram Charan is all set for his next solo release after almost four years. The actor was last seen in the 2022 film RRR, after which, barring a few cameos in a few projects, he has had no theatrical releases. Recently he talked openly about this gap in his career, during which he had shot only one film.
Speaking at the promotional event of Game Changer in Mumbai, Ram Charan gave a witty reply to producer Dil Raju, who thanked everyone for their efforts as a team for working on this same film for three years.
He compared himself with other actors who had many films released in the last few years. However, when the matter came to him, he jokingly said that he had done only one film in three years.
RC said, “Sir, everyone is going to do a lot of films sir. But I did only one film in three years.
Game Changer is also Ram Charan’s first solo release in many years, considering his last film, RRR, had Jr. NTR playing the same lead role. After that, he spent about three and a half years working on the Shankar-directed film, which faced some delays due to reasons not known to the makers.
Earlier, during the film’s promotional event in Dallas, RC had talked about it and said, “It’s been 4 years since I got a solo film. RRR, of course, I did it with my brother Taarak. Now, with Game Changer, we have worked really hard for about three and a half years. This is a Shankar Garu style film; This will be a wonderful Sankranti for all of us and will not let you down.”
With a power-packed trailer and four energetic tracks from the film already released, Game Changer has caught the attention of the audience for more reasons than one. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on January 10, 2025.
Directed by Shankar, Ram Charan will play a double role in this film, playing the role of both father and son. One of these roles includes the star playing an IAS officer.
Apart from Ram Charan, the film also stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady, while SJ Surya plays the antagonist.
