Tollywood star Ram Charan recently shared insights about his parenting style, describing himself as a ‘raw father’ while praising his wife Upasana Kamineni as the ‘nurturing pivot’ in their family. The couple, who married in 2012, are the parents of three children: their daughter Cline Cara Konidela, born in 2023, and twins, a boy named Shivaram Konidela and a girl named Anvira Devi Konidela, born earlier this year.

Ram Charan reveals how fatherhood changed him
in a frank conversation with SirRam Charan elaborated on his approach towards fatherhood. “I’m a strict kind of father,” he confessed. She said, “The one who lets them jump, play dirty, climb and take risks. Their mother is the nurturing pivot; when they need courage they come to me.”
Reflecting on how fatherhood has changed his perspective, the actor said, “The biggest lessons we learn are from watching our parents. And I want to be a very present person first and foremost. And I want to be a present father.”
He stressed the importance of prioritizing time, saying, “It’s not about having time; it’s about how well you’re using your time. That’s become the most important thing to me.”
balancing family and fame
Ram Charan admitted that his life was less structured before becoming a parent. “I didn’t have three kids before. I didn’t have any other responsibilities. It used to be my working hours and my shooting and now everything has to make sense,” she said.
pedi The actor then added, “I have to give my hundred percent. I shouldn’t behave lazy as soon as I come home. My daughter is jumping, my wife needs something, there are family issues we have to address, there are fans’ issues we have to address too. So I don’t have to be foggy and be hundred percent present every day.”
On the professional front, Ram Charan is prepping for his next film. pediDirector Buchi Babu Sana. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, along with Shiv Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu who are also part of the project. This film is going to be released on 30th April.
