Actress Rakul Preet Singh has once again reacted with humor to the ongoing online conversation about her marriage with producer Jackky Bhagnani. She shared a light-hearted Instagram Stories video after a comment the couple made in a recent interview gained attention on social media.
In that interview, Jackie described her marriage as a ‘situation’, a phrase that soon became the focus of online discussion. The latest post came after Rakul had already addressed the matter in an Instagram note.

Jackie apologized to Rakul
In the Instagram Stories clip shared on Saturday, Rakul was seen talking to Jackie about the comment and the subsequent reaction. He said, “How many times has it been said that we are Millennials, there is no need to become Gen Z! I said it, right? (I’ve told you many times that we’re millennials, and there’s no need to be Gen Z. Didn’t I)?”
Jackie stood beside him holding his ears and then smiled apologetically. “you did it right (Look what has happened now)?” He said. He further said, “But I didn’t say that (But that was not my intention)!”
Rakul replied, “I know, but the world needs to know! But.” Ok (It’s okay). He said that since social media users were not stopping, he thought they would also laugh at it.
In the caption he wrote,It’s done for you too Now (are you guys done too? Now) laugh about it and move on.
Rakul’s cleanliness
Earlier, Rakul had addressed the issue in a separate Instagram Stories note. Sharing a screenshot of the statement that went viral, he said that a line from a much longer conversation was isolated and exaggerated.
“Today we had a lot of laughs at how one line from an hour-long conversation can suddenly become a headline. Funny… until it doesn’t. Context matters. Nuances matter. Better than reducing the conversation to clickbait. Maybe it’s time platforms took a little more responsibility for the stories they create,” he wrote.
He also suggested that Jackie’s words did not reflect the full context of what she said in the interview.

The comment that started the discussion was made during the couple’s interview on the YouTube channel zingabad.
Speaking about her marriage, Jackie said, “Rakul and I are married, but we are in a situation which, of course, we are exclusive to each other, because that is why we are married. But the most important thing is that I can talk to her about anything.”
He also said that both he and Rakul have seen a lot of ups and downs in life and are not looking for someone to fill this void. To explain the transparency in his relationship, he gave the example of answering an ex-girlfriend’s call on speaker if his wife was around.
Rakul and Jackie dated for three years before getting married in Goa on February 21, 2024.
