Rakasa OTT release date out: When and where to watch Sangeet Shobhan’s fantasy horror comedy online

Rakasa, also known as Rakasa, stars Sangeetha Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. The fantasy horror comedy releases in theaters on April 3, 2026. Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film is now ready for its digital debut. According to online reports, the film is going to premiere on the OTT platform in the first week of May.

According to 123 Telugu, the Sangeetha Shobhan starrer will release on Netflix on May 1, 2026, with listings already visible on the platform. Apart from its original version, the film is expected to be released in multiple languages ​​including Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam, although an official announcement is still awaited.

Rakasa revolves around a young man named Veeru, who returns to his native country from America with plans to marry his childhood sweetheart. His hopes were dashed when he learned that she was going to marry someone else. Determined to intervene, Veeru makes several unsuccessful attempts to stop the wedding. As he becomes depressed, he eventually falls asleep near an abandoned fort that is believed to be haunted. What happens during that night and the challenges he faces form the crux of this fantasy horror-comedy story.

Directed by Manasa Sharma, Rakasa is produced by Niharika Konidela under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures, with Umesh Kumar Bansal as co-producer. The music is composed by Anudeep Dev. Upon its theatrical release, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) and hailed the film as a summer blockbuster.
