Director SS Rajamouli and actors Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu have publicly congratulated aerospace firm Skyroot on the successful launch of its Vikram-1 rocket.
SS Rajamouli praised this historic achievement in his X post. He wrote, “From India to orbit!… Made history with Vikram-1, India’s first private rocket to reach orbit, built by a Hyderabad-based team whose average age is just 28 years. This is what young India is capable of. The entire team is extremely proud. Jai Hind.”

Mahesh Babu’s X post read, “India is reaching and working for the stars. Very proud of our young team at Skyroot Aerospace from Hyderabad #Vikram1 reaching orbit on its very first mission which is a testament to the ingenuity and tenacity of our private space sector!! Congratulations to @SkyrootA and every single person who put their heart into this achievement (sic).”
In his ex-post, Chiranjeevi has expressed pride on the successful launch of Vikram-1. He wrote, “Today marks a historic milestone in India’s space journey. Hearty congratulations to Skyroot Aerospace, ISRO and IN-SPACe on the successful launch of India’s first privately developed orbital rocket #Vikram1. It fills me with immense pride that this remarkable achievement was designed and developed entirely in Hyderabad by the talented young team of @SkyrootA (sic).”
The actor concluded, “May this historic success inspire countless young minds and take India to even greater heights in its journey towards a developed India. Congratulations once again to Team Vikram-1 (sic).”
India’s private space sector on Saturday created history with the successful maiden launch of the country’s first privately built commercial rocket Vikram-1. Launched from Sriharikota, this historic mission was a complete success from start to finish, successfully placing multiple test satellites into space in its very first attempt.
This impressive rocket was developed by a young team at Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace, a company started by former government space scientists. This major win has officially opened up India’s space industry to private companies and established the country as a major player in the global commercial space market.
