Ajay Devgn returned as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, the sequel to the 2018 hit RAID, which closed the audience with his entertaining depiction of real -life income tax operations.
Ahead of its release, a special screening was held on April 30, 2025. Ajay Devgan kept it in the best in an all-black enclosure, while Wani Kapoor was stunned in a simple white salwar suit, which together with matching footwear and statement earrings. The pair, who put the film together, posed for shutterbugs and interacted with fans, created enthusiasm ahead of his dramatic start. Ritish Deshmukh was also present at the screening.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film after its release on May 1, 2025, after its initial delay from the date of February 21. The original raid was inspired by the longest income tax raid in Indian history, held on Sardar Indra Singh in the 1980s. Ajay Devgan’s depiction of honest and firm officer Amay Patnaik received widespread praise, and the success of the film at the box office set high expectations for sequel.
In Raid 2, Vaani Kapoor included the artists as Patnaik’s wife, who supports Devgan. Ritish plays the role of anti -Deshmukh, adding a new dynamic to the story. The film also features Rajat Kapoor in an important role.
In another film titled Abir Gulal, despite facing a boycott of his cooperation with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, Vani Kapoor’s presence in screening was seen as a confident stand. This was his first public presence related to Raid 2 promotion.
RAID 2 is expected to have adequate impact on the box office, indicating important interest in advance. According to Sacnilk, the film sold more than 4.63 lakh tickets before its early day, with pre-cells to gross Rs 4.64 crore. With Labor Day with release, business experts expect a strong vote for the initial weekend.
Large -scale shot in Delhi and Lucknow, RAID 2 is expected to give the same intensity and suspense that made its predecessor successful.
