Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2: The Rule is making waves at the box office in Hindi as the Sukumar directorial has sold 50,000 tickets across the top 3 national chains – PVRinox and Cinepolis – on its opening day alone. The action-packed entertainer has crossed the 55,000 ticket mark in less than 10 hours of going live for sale and is one of the fastest ticket sales in the history of Hindi cinema.
The advance booking pace of Pushpa 2: The Rule Is in National Chains is better than films like Animal and Gadar 2, which speaks volumes about the kind of anticipation towards the film among cinema-going audiences across the country. The film will aim to cross the 5 lakh mark nationally by Wednesday night and is also set to touch the 6 lakh mark, challenging the 7-year-old record of Baahubali 2, which had sold around 6.5 lakh tickets in 2017.
The situation is even better in non-national chains and single screens, as they are putting up housefull boards only hours after the start of ticket sales. Pushpa 2’s single screen performance is the best ever for a feature film. Pushpa 2 sold 4000 tickets in 12 hours at Moviemax, the fastest for any film so far. It has overtaken the final progress of most of the Hindi releases of 2024 in no time and will reach #1 by Wednesday midnight, dethroning Stree 2 from the top.
The response at Rajhans too is from across the globe, with Pushpa 2 selling over 7000 tickets till 11.59pm on Saturday night. All said and done, Pushpa 2 is going to have an earth-shattering start and with a shot at challenging or surpassing Jawan, the business could go through the roof.
History is being made in Hindi on 5th December. Stay connected with Pinkvilla for more updates.
