Sharing his reaction on the first day reception of the film, Chiranjeevi said that his thoughts were on Peddi even when he was working on the second set. The actor congratulated Ram Charan and the cast and crew of the film in his ex-post.

The actor wrote, “Congratulations to our #PEDDI, my dear @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire cast and crew for this incredible blockbuster!…Even though I am in Pollachi to shoot, my heart is with ‘Peddi’. I have witnessed firsthand the hard work and dedication Charan has put in for this film over the last two years. Today, seeing the love and appreciation from the audience, I feel very proud not only as a father but also as an actor (sic).”

Referring to the role of Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi said that the actor’s intense and physically grueling part demanded a major screen transformation. He further added, “His tireless effort, tenacity and sincerity in immersing himself completely in the character of Peddie is clearly visible in every scene. This success is a reward for all the hard work he has done.”

Chiranjeevi lauds Buchi Babu Sana’s approach

Chiranjeevi also praised director Buchi Babu Sana for executing his vision and producer Venkat Sathish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas for supporting the large-scale project without creative compromise. He wished Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar all the best for his appearance in the film and gave special congratulations to Jagapathi Babu who played the role of Appalasuri.

Chiranjeevi thanks AR Rahma for his background score

The actor also thanked AR Rahman for the background score and soundtrack, cinematographer R Rathnavelu for the visuals, production designer Avinash Kolla for creating the world of the film and editor Naveen Nooli for maintaining its pace. Chiranjeevi congratulated Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu and the supporting cast, and credited Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings for supporting the project and bringing it to life.

Concluding his note, Chiranjeevi wrote, “I sincerely hope that this stupendous success achieved by Peddi is a proud moment for Telugu cinema and that it will reach many more milestones.”

India Today, in its review of the film, wrote, “Visually, pedi Often affects. R Rathnavelu’s cinematography gives a distinct identity to the film. Be it the raw energy of the wrestling grounds, the textures of the jaggery mills, the dusty village roads or the way darkness is used during several night sequences, the visuals consistently strengthen the emotional ground of the film. The village never feels like a ready-to-shoot set, which many pan-Indian films fail to achieve.”

pedi Released theatrically on June 4, 2026.
