Even though Priyanka Chopra has settled abroad, she never forgets to celebrate Indian festivals. Like most of us, the global sensation also enjoyed Dhanteras with her husband, actor-singer Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie. A few minutes ago, she posted a lovely family photo, showing how beautifully they celebrated the day.
In the picture that Priyanka Chopra posted on her Instagram stories, she gave a glimpse of her Dhanteras celebration. The photo shows PeeCee holding the hand of her husband, American actor and singer Nick Jonas. The parents also held the hands of their daughter Malti Mary Chopra Jonas. What’s impressive is that the Desi star not only introduced her husband and their little girl to the Indian festival, but she also celebrated it the desi way by making her child wear shiny silver bangles. Captioning the picture, she wrote, “Happy Dhanteras to all celebrants” along with folded hands, red heart and diya emojis.

About a week ago, the fashion icon had also celebrated Karva Chauth by keeping a fast for the long life of her husband. In the carousel of pictures, which she shared online, PeeCee can be seen breaking her fast by drinking water from Nick Jonas’ hands with her mother Madhu Chopra over a video call. In another image she is reading a lovely letter from her partner and also smiling lovingly. The third photo in the album is a selfie taken with the American singer.
PC followed all the customs of the festival and applied mehndi on her palms. She also dressed up like a desi bride and applied vermilion, wore earrings, bangles and a mangalsutra bracelet. While she was wearing comfortable nightwear, the actress didn’t forget to cover her head while performing the puja with her partner. In the caption, she wrote, “To all those celebrating… Happy Karva Chauth and yes I am filmy.”
