Prithviraj Sukumaran reveals why he avoids risky stunts: I have 3 titanium screws
Prithviraj Sukumaran said that his 2023 stunt injury changed his approach towards action sequences in I, Nobody. He said the accident and another injury on set reminded him of the risks and responsibility involved.

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has revealed about the 2023 stunt accident that has changed the way he approaches action sequences. Revealing that he now has three titanium screws in his left leg, the actor said that the injury made him realize that a moment’s mishap can affect not only him, but the entire film production.
talking to Indian Express While promoting his latest crime thriller, me, no onePrithviraj said that he has become more cautious about performing high-risk stunts, despite being known for performing his own action sequences.
Reflecting on the accident he said, “In 2023, I was shooting another movie, and I have a reputation for doing solo action. I was doing a stunt sequence and I had an accident and suffered a very complex injury to my left knee. I had to have three surgeries, and now I have three titanium screws in my left leg.”
The actor said the consequences of the accident went far beyond his recovery. He said, “That film had to be stopped for a year. So much money was wasted, so many people had to wait just for a year. So now I take that responsibility on my head.”
Prithviraj also recalled another accident that happened on the sets during filming me, no oneSaying that it reinforced the risks involved in action filmmaking. According to him, one of the stunt performers suffered serious injuries and required 37 stitches on the back of his neck.
He said, “One of our fighters got injured on the set and got 37 stitches on the back of his neck. Things like this keep happening. So I’m saying, imagine if I was doing that shot and this happened to me. I would have been going home for six months.”
Despite the life-changing injury, Prithviraj said he still enjoys shooting action sequences. He credited stunt coordinator Yannick Benn and his team for designing grounded, realistic action, which demanded a lot from the actors while making every sequence authentic.
