Director Premkumar recently announced that he would follow a film with Chian Vikram, titled Chian 64. However, the filmmaker also revealed that the film would be delayed, and he would first direct a film with Fahd Fasil.
Director Premkumar Chian for the action thriller with Fahd Fasil before 64?
Talking with hosts Gobinath on YouTube, Premkumar revealed that his film with Chian Vikram is still going through the writing process, and before that, he would make a film with Fahd Fasil.
The director said, “My next film with Fahd Fasil will be completely different in style compared to my previous films. However, all of them that will remain unique is the emotional factor that touches you.”
He said, “The film is still being written with Chian Vikram. For this, it will take me four consecutive months to go to the floor. In fact, the thriller I plan have been in my mind for about 4 years.”
Talking about his process, Premkumar emphasized how all the people around him advised him not to immediately step into the action style, as he is known for 96 and Meijhagan like his light-hearted films. However, this is exactly what he wants to break with his upcoming stories.
Continuing his conversation, Premkumar said, “Fahd sir was really loved by the story. We know what kind of actor he is, and I only told the story of 40 minutes to him. As I spoke to him, each scene left Fahd with a different response, which was encouraging to the witness. It would be a direct Tamil film.”
Ending his words, Premkumar said that he did not wish to take a long break from making cinema. Initially, he wanted to start filming before completing Meijhagan a year of release, but now, Fafa film will go to the floor only from January 2026.
Chian Vikram’s next
In July 2025, it was officially announced that Chian Vikram would get hands with Premkumar for an action film, titled Chian 64. However, as it is delayed, it seems that the actor can start making films for Chian 63, directed by Mavran’s director Madon Ashwin, although a confirmation is pending.
On the other hand, Fahd Fasil was last seen in a lead role in Malayalam film Odum Kuthira Chadam Kuthira. The actor is currently involved in the production of Mamut-Mohanlal starrer film, Patriot (MMMN).
