Google’s next flagship smartphone – Pixel 10 – coming soon, and if the latest leaks are accurate, we are for a mixture of small wonders. While the overall form of the phone has not changed much, Google is shaking things in two areas: color and camera. According to a report by Android headlinesGoogle is expected to release three of the Pixel 9 shades this year and bring it to some bold, bright new ones. There is also a new camera setup on the back, a third lens is now showing on the base pixel model – something that we have not seen before.
First let’s talk colors first. Pixel 9 came in Peony, Wintergreen, Porcelain and Osidians. According to the leak, Pixel 10 will only keep the obesidian. PEONY, Wintergreen, and even porcelain – a staple shade in Google’s smartphone lineups – is being replaced by years – possibly replaced. In his place, we will get three new options: IndiGo, Frost and Limonsalo. Frost is a soft, muted blue, which is similar to the blue shade of the iPhone 15 since a few years ago. Indigo brings back memories of the original Google Pixel, which also came in blue. It has a deep, rich form that stands out the phone. And Limonsalo? It is almost a parrot like green – like a green of Pixel 7 compared to Wintergreen of Pixel 9.
There is also a change in the camera deco. While the size of the camera bar is almost the same, the glass that covers is large. This is because Google is adding a third lens to the end – a telephoto camera – in regular pixel 10. So far, a dedicated telephoto lens is available only on the pro model. It is worth noting that all the sensors in Pixel 10 will be smaller this year, possibly to make the Pro model more out. The primary sensor is a 48-megapixel with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto sensor borrowed from the Pixel 9A and 9 Pro folds.
Pixel 10 is expected to be announced on August 20, in which pre-orders open on the same day. Shipping is expected to begin on August 28.
Beyond Pixel 10, Google is expected to unveil more equipment – including Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold. Pixel Watch 4 is also expected, with the report it has been suggested that it may come in two sizes this time.
