The month of December will see three big feature films releasing in theaters, starting with the Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2 on December 5, followed by the Disney live action film, Mufasa: The Lion King on December 20, and finally on December 20. Varun Dhawan starrer Baby John will release on December 25. Audiences and traders are eagerly waiting for these films and talks have already started about possible predictions for the first day.

The film is about 10 days away from release, and our final prediction will be made next Monday. Business will be strong across the board, however, with Tier 2 and 3 centers expected to show record numbers on the first day.
Disney’s live-action film, Mufasa: The Lion King will look to capitalize on the Christmas holidays, drawing in large numbers of kids and family audiences. The film is looking to earn Rs 12.50 crore to Rs 14.50 crore, and will look to maximize the business during the long holidays.
The Shah Rukh Khan factor could help Mufasa: The Lion King garner more attention for the Hindi dubbed version.
While we are still waiting for the theatrical trailer to arrive, Varun Dhawan-led Baby John, co-produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani, is set to open in the region of Rs 18.50 crore to Rs 21.50 crore.
There is a month left for the film to release, and the numbers will be updated on a week-by-week basis, but it has a real chance to become the #1 opener for Varun Dhawan. The first day of business will be helped by the Christmas holidays.
