Payal Kapadia’s first reaction to All We Imagine as Light’s Golden Globes insult
Director Payal Kapadia’s critically acclaimed film, All We Imagine as Light, was nominated in two categories at the recently concluded Golden Globes. However, the film missed out on awards. Payal Kapadia took it seriously and reacted to it on her Instagram Stories.
Director Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light failed to win any awards at the Golden Globes 2025 despite its two nominations. After the loss at the Golden Globes, Payal shared a photo with her producers on Instagram and reacted to the loss. She took it in stride and revealed that she had a lot of fun at the prestigious awards ceremony held in Beverly Hills, California on January 6.
After attending awards ceremonyPayal shared a picture with All We Imagine As Light producers Thomas Hakim, Julian Graff and Ranbir Das. “We didn’t win anything, but we had a lot of fun,” he wrote.

On her Instagram stories, she thanked her designer Payal Khandwala and stylist Indrakshi Patnaik for dressing her for the Golden Globes awards ceremony.
Payal Kapadia was seen in a hand-woven black jumpsuit with a unique loop neck design. The black outfit with shades of red on her neck was extraordinary.
While All We Imagine as Light won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, it did not win any awards at the Golden Globes. The film lost to Emilia Perez of France. In the Best Non-English Language Motion Picture category. Payal Kapadia lost her Best Director award to Brady Corbett, who directed The Brutalist.
