Paratranthu Po Movie Review: Director Ram’s ‘Paratranthu Po’, Mirchi Shiva, Grace Antony and Mithul, when you are busy running the life of the city, there is a deep story about self-consciousness. Without a lot of publicity, the film hits all the right notes.

In short
- ‘Pantranthu Po’ is a cheerful story about parenting and self-khos

What does an eight -year -old child want? Their parents, who enroll them in a reputed elite school, provide them with access to everything. He has a computer, zomato/swigy, expensive waveboard, access to all materialistic things, and nominated him in all classes and additional activities. Nevertheless, the eight-year-old man is not happy and is craving something that is beyond the understanding of him and his parents. What else can parents do? This is the one who is Rama’s ‘Pantranthu Po’.
Gokul (Mirchi Siva) and Glory (Grace Antony) lead a Husting life, who dream of giving ‘everything’ to countless Emis and his excitement sons, Ambu (Mithul). Gokul is a person who is struggling to set up a shop, while Glory owns a saree shop to maintain her life. When they are at work, Ambu, who is on half an annual holiday, is locked inside his house and is forced to participate in classes that his parents have enrolled.
When Glory goes to Coimbatore to participate in an expo, Gokul manages his work and a son -in -law, that too, a hyperactive during the holidays. Due to the closure inside, Anbu forces his father to take on a spontaneous road trip. This road journey becomes a story of self-khoj for Gokul and glory and pushes them to a slow hug.
Director Ram is known for brainstorming emotionally heavy films and ‘Pantranthu Po’ is a welcome departure from the brand of his films. The film is his attempt with a thought-giving message in a music comedy that does not promote much. ‘Pantranthu Po’ works prominently due to its treatment. Ram admits that the story of the film is not new (in the end credit), but one that should be told.

When we are associated with the responsibilities of living a comfortable life in a city, it does not give us any chance to stop. Instead, this is a never ending commitment considering inflation. But, does it make life beautiful? This happens when you begin to enjoy small things, make space for personal connections and absorb in each other’s company. ‘Pantranthu Po’ teaches you with a lot of humor and a realistic yet simple situation. So much that you hardly realize that the film has impressed you in the ways you did not expect.
And when a film does this, it means that the director Ram is a winner in the hands of Ram. ‘Pathranthu Po’ works prominently due to its photo-perfect casting. Mirchi Shiva pulled Gokul completely with his effective performance. His general intelligence, one-liner, deadpain expression and congenital infallible attitude make Mirchi Shiva the Gokul that Rama imagined. Grace Antony, also, is extraordinary as glory. It is very good, whether it is an emotional sequence or pulling the comedy.
Mithul, as a hypercractive kid, ‘Pantranthu Po’ is the heart and soul. At a time when children often speak like adults, Anbu makes you realize that you can learn a lot from children. Initially, he looks like a bawwa, but as the story moves forward, you understand that he is the most solved person in the world of ‘Pantranthu Po’ who is the person he wants to see what he wants and is successful in finding it. Anjali and Aju Varghese, in their small but impressive roles, add to the heartfelt story of the film.
‘Pathranthu Po’ looks like a hot throat on a cool air day. Music treatment may obstruct complete engagement at some places. In addition, the story Rama had taken while addressing Glory’s asthma could have gone away. In a film that has most positivity, this scene is stuck like a thumb in a throat.
The film is technically superior and also with a beautiful frame of cinematory NK Acmaram. The score of the background by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the songs by Santosh Dhyenidhi brought ‘Sharanthu Po’ to a higher level. The songs are almost condensed and simple in Tamil, which is contrary to many other songs these days.
‘Pantranthu Po’ is a beautiful documentation of a beautiful small family that has important lessons with the importance of stopping and looking at your life rather than giving parenting, self-addiction and rats.
