Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who is known for his versatile performance, has always been vocal about the importance of rural lifestyle in his village roots and today’s fast -moving world. He recently visited his sister’s village in Siwan, Bihar. Pictures of ‘Mirzapur’ star have now gone viral from his nephew’s wedding festival.
Tripathi was seen playing his casual traditional form while attending the wedding of his nephew Himanshu. The wedding procession reached Bahruuli village in Saran district of Bihar. Pankaj was seen sitting with relatives and other wedding attendants in the pictures.
In one of the viral videos, he was posing for local photographers who were recording and clicking him inside his sister’s house. Although a low-matched wedding took place on May 23, 2025, the pictures and videos went viral on 26 May 2025.
Pankaj was born in Pandit Banres Tiwari and Hemwanti Tiwari in Belsand village of Barauli in Gopalganj district of Bihar. She made her acting debut with the Kannada film ‘Chigurida Kanasu’. Later he played a minor role in films like ‘Run,’ Apharan, ‘Omkara,’ Aakrosh ‘and’ Agnipath ‘. However, he gained great recognition with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasipur’ franchise with ‘Masaan’, ‘Newton’ and ‘Bareilly’s Barfi’. He was also praised for his performance in the ‘Sacred Games’ and ‘Mirzapur’ series.
Pankaj was last seen in 2024 in the supernatural horror-comedy ‘Stri 2,’ in Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, and Apneti Khurana.
He will be seen next time in Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro … In Dino’, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Konkona Sen Sharma. The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Anurag (Basu) and Tani Basu. This is the last chapter of director Anurag Basu’s trilogy which includes ‘Jeevan in Metro’ and ‘Ludo’.
‘Metro … In Dino’ is scheduled for release on July 4, 2025.
