What is Palash Sharbat?

Palash Sharbat is a unique and refreshing summer drink. To make it, Palash flowers are soaked in water for a short time along with fennel. After this, spices like cumin and black pepper, lemon juice and fresh mint leaves are added. It tastes sweet and slightly bitter, making it ideal to drink during summer days. The color of the sherbet obtained from Palash flowers is bright orange-red.

Is Palash Sharbat healthy?

Absolutely! This sharbat is low in calories and also offers many health benefits. The main ingredient palash flowers are known for their antioxidant properties. You can include this sharbat in your weight loss diet. However, use jaggery powder instead of sugar to reap its benefits for weight loss. Method of making Palash Sharbat | Palash Sharbat Recipe

To make Palash Sharbat you will need dried palash flowers, fennel seeds, cumin powder, black pepper powder, mint leaves, lemon juice and salt and sugar to taste. Soak the flowers and fennel seeds in a jug of water for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until the flowers lose their colour. Once done, strain the water into another jug. Add cumin seeds, black pepper powder and salt-sugar. Stir it well. Lastly, add lemon juice and fresh mint leaves. Serve chilled and enjoy! Sounds refreshing?
