After months of wait, actor-turned-politician Vijay’s last film, Jan NayganPrepping for its theatrical release later this month. While advance booking is yet to begin in India, ticket sales have already started in overseas markets including the UK and Australia, Canada has adopted a phased rollout for bookings.

Canadian distributor York Cinemas announced advance bookings on Wednesday Jan Naygan Will open in phases, with the first 24 hours reserved exclusively for VIP members. Vijay’s swansong has had a phased release amid strong demand overseas. In the UK, distributor Ahimsa Entertainment revealed that thousands of tickets were sold within the first hour after advance booking began, underscoring the excitement surrounding the film’s release.

In another important development, the film received a revised certification on July 14 after minor modifications. Its runtime has been extended by 41 seconds, making the final duration 3 hours, 3 minutes and 52 seconds. However, the UK version will be released in its entirety, uncut.

The film is also expected to launch with a special title slate that reads, “Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay”, which is being presented as his final screen appearance, acknowledging Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics.
