Oppo has launched the next generation of Reno devices, the Reno 15 series, in India. The lineup includes not only the vanilla Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro, but also the Reno 15 Pro Mini and the Reno 15C. With four different models, there’s a lot to unpack, and to make things simple, we compare the Reno 15 series here.

Oppo’s next-generation Reno devices – the Reno 15 series – are finally in India. The Chinese phone maker is taking a different approach this time with two new models. Oppo has announced the first compact device for the Reno series, the Reno 15 Pro Mini, as well as a more affordable Reno 15C variant.

So, this year, we have four Reno devices – the vanilla Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, Reno 15 Pro Mini and the Reno 15c. Each model targets a different user with different strengths and budgets and if you want to know which device might be best suited for you, we will go in-depth into the Oppo Reno 15 series to explain the differences between all four phones.

Oppo Reno 15 series: Design and display

All four Reno 15 models come with a similar design, which uses Oppo’s new HaloFusion technology to get the 3D effect on the back. Size varies with each device. The standard Reno 15 gets a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Reno 15 Pro gets a larger 6.78-inch display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Reno 15c has a slightly smaller screen than the vanilla variant, measuring 6.57 inches.

The Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini also get aerospace-grade aluminum frames.

Colors also vary for each model. The Reno 15 comes in Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue, while the more affordable Reno 15c gets Twilight Blue and Afterglow Pink shades. The Reno 15 Pro has Sunset Gold and Cocoa Brown colors, and the Reno 15 Pro Mini can be purchased in Cocoa Brown or Glacier White.

Oppo Reno 15 series: cameras

The Reno 15 series is targeted at users who want good cameras that can deliver consistent results. The base Reno 15 has a 50-megapixel main sensor, along with a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor.

The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini take things a step further. The Pro model has a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

Reno 15c comes with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor.

All four phones come with a new 50-megapixel front camera that can capture ultra-wide photos. However, only the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini support 4k recording at up to 60fps on all sensors.

Oppo Reno 15 series: performance and battery

The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini bring good performance. Oppo claims that the Pro models eliminate lag in daily use. Both the phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset.

The base Reno 15 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, while the Reno 15c comes with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.

On the battery front, it is the Reno 15c that gets the largest battery at 7,000mAh. The Reno 15 has a 6,500mAh cell, while the Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini have a 6,200mAh battery. All phones come with support for 80W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 15 series: price

Now, the Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini are aimed at content creators and users who want the best set of cameras and good performance. The Reno 15 Pro price starts at Rs 67,999, while the more compact Pro Mini is priced at Rs 59,999.

For those who have a low budget, the vanilla Reno 15 is priced at Rs 45,999. The Reno 15C is the most budget-friendly device of the lineup, priced at Rs 34,999.

The sale of Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini will start from January 13, 2025. The Reno 15C will be available for purchase in February.
