  • Altman’s comments come as Openai with their appearance in Washington

Openai CEO Sam Altman spoke at a Federal Reserve Conference in Washington recently, with a clear view of how artificial intelligence can reopen the world of work. According to a report by MentorAltman said that some jobs may disappear completely, especially in areas such as customer service. While the impact on AI’s jobs has long been debated, it seems quite important to hear it directly from one of the leading voices in the area and of course, a little about moving forward.

Ultman did not copy the words when it came to the fate of customer aid roles. He described the AI-operated system as already smart, which is enough to handle everything from basic questions to complex issues, that too without any human help. “This is a category where I just say, you know if you say customer aid, you are on the target and AI, and that’s fine,” he said. His point was that AI is now fast, accurate and capable of what human agents do, delay or reduce errors.

Altman also touched the growing role of AI in healthcare, given that equipment such as chatgpt can often make better diagnosis than many doctors. Nevertheless, he admitted that he would not want to rely on a machine without fully human inspection on his health. “I would not like to trust him without a human in the loop for my own healthcare,” he said. And honestly, this is a proper point – while AI can process large amounts of medical data quickly, most people still give importance to the assurance and decision of a real doctor.

Altman’s comments come as Openai as their appearance in Washington. The company plans to open an office there, and the journey marks a change in tone from its earlier push for strict AI regulation. Under the new “AI Action Plan” of Trump administration, now focuses on growing development and infrastructure rather than slowing attention.

But the founder of Openai did not ignore the risks. He expressed concern about how AI could be used maliciously, in which the risk of voice cloning is being used for fraud. He warned, “The thing that keeps me the most at night is the possibility of cyber attack on financial systems from the wicked nation states using AI,” he warned. It is a reminder that while AI is a promise, it also brings serious challenges that we have only started to understand.
