When can we expect the next generation OnePlus Nord? If rumors are to be believed, the OnePlus OnePlus is ready to launch Nord 5, who is soon the successor of OnePlus Nord 4 in India. Nord 4 was launched in April 2024, so we can expect the fifth generation to come within the next few months.
Right now, OnePlus is preparing to introduce OnePlus 13S in India, which is likely to come for some time in mid -May or early June. Nord 5 may have its next phone in the country. The alleged OnePlus Nord 5 has been seen on the TV Rhinland website which confirms its adjacent launch. The listing reveals several major details of the upcoming device, including its battery size and charging speed.
The alleged OnePlus phone with model number CPH2079 (via 91mobiles), which is considered Nord 5, will allegedly feature a 6,650mAh battery in the list. If true, it will be a significant boost on the 5,500mAh unit found in Nord 4. The listing also confirms support for 80W fast charging, similar to Nord 4. However, this contradiction suggests in earlier reports that the phone will have a fast 100W charging.
As other expected specifications, OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 racing version, which is expected to be launched in China later this month. Depending on what we can get from the Internet, the phone is expected to have a 6.77-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
Performance-wise, Nord 5 can be powered by MediaTek Dymenties 9400E Chipset, which is a slightly modified version of the upcoming major dimension 9400 SoC. If true, it will mark a change from Snapdragon-based Nord 4 and offer better AI and gaming capabilities. The phone can launch up to 16GB with storage up to 16GB and up to 512GB, which is based on this region.
On the camera front, OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to include a dual rear setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor (with optical image stabilization) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, the device can offer a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Other expected features include dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster and Android 15-based oxygen out of 15 boxes.
In terms of pricing, OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to be launched in India for about Rs 30,000, which maintains its mid-range positioning similar to the initial price of Nord 4. However, it should be noted that the specifications are rumored and nothing has been officially confirmed by OnePlus. Accurate configuration and pricing details will be clear close to the official announcement.
