The OnePlus Ace 5 will launch in China next month and is expected to launch in global markets like India after that. However, the device will likely come as OenPlus 13R in other regions, just like the older versions. The OnePlus 12R was a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3, so the new version is not expected to be any different from the Chinese version.

OnePlus has started teasing the OnePlus Ace 5 aka OnePlus 13R and some features of the upcoming device have been leaked online, giving us an idea of ​​what to expect from the next generation mid-range premium smartphone.

If leaks are to be believed, the upcoming OnePlus Ace series phones will pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood. This isn’t surprising since the OnePlus 12R is using the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Additionally, OnePlus is offering one-year-old flagship chipsets with its R series phones and keeping the latest chipsets for ultra-premium flagship phones.

The OnePlus Ace 5 is said to pack a 6,300mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging technology. OnePlus is one of the few brands that bundles a charger in the retail box, so the new phone is likely to have one as well. The device is also reported to have a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

Since it will arrive in India as the OnePlus 13R, don’t expect the device to see a huge price increase. The OnePlus 12R was announced with a starting price of Rs 39,999, so the next generation is expected to be priced under Rs 45,000.

Lewis Li, president of OnePlus China, has suggested on Chinese social media platform Weibo that the OnePlus Ace 5 will be available at an affordable price, but we may also see a slight increase in prices as the cost of components and other things have increased.
