OnePlus 13: specs, features

OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship in China, retaining some of the key features of the OnePlus 12 and introducing notable upgrades. The OnePlus 13 features a 6.82-inch display, the same size as the OnePlus 12, with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. The screen maintains its high brightness levels, offering 1,600nits in regular mode and a maximum brightness of 4,500nits. However, this model brings two major improvements: glove usability and a native high refresh rate feature.

The ability to use the device while wearing gloves is a valuable addition, especially for users in cold areas like Delhi during winter. Additionally, there is a new local high refresh rate feature, which allows the screen to dynamically operate at multiple refresh rates. For example, watching videos can use a lower refresh rate, while scrolling through comments can switch to 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz for a better experience.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm process, which promises better efficiency and performance. It is paired with OxygenOS 15, which is based on Android 15. OnePlus has not yet confirmed its software update policy for the OnePlus 13, but based on previous models, it is expected to receive four years of major Android updates and five years of security. Patch.

One major upgrade in the OnePlus 13 is the battery. The phone is equipped with a larger 6,000mAh battery compared to the 5,400mAh unit in the OnePlus 12. The company claims that it can be used for about two days. The device supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging and this year, OnePlus is also introducing magnetic wireless charging via a special case.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 13 retains the OnePlus 12’s 50-megapixel LYT-808 primary sensor, but its telephoto and ultrawide lenses have been upgraded to 50-megapixels each. The phone also has Hasselblad branding and 4K/60fps Dolby Vision video capture.

In terms of durability, the OnePlus 13 is IP68 and IP69 rated, which means it can survive underwater and withstand high-pressure water jets. Additionally, it features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for more precise unlocking even with wet hands and a new vibration motor designed to improve the gaming experience.

OnePlus 13: price in India (expected)

The price of OnePlus 13 is expected to be less than Rs 70,000. The OnePlus 12 was launched in India for Rs 64,999, and the company is expected to increase the price of the new version by a few thousand rupees or retain the old price. We will have to wait for a few weeks to see if the brand will launch its flagship under Rs 70,000 or enter the Rs 80,000 segment, priced closer to the iPhone 16 and Samsung Galaxy S24.
