The OnePlus 13 has been the subject of rumours for quite some time now, but now it looks like the launch event isn’t too far away. Tipster Digital Chat Station has reported on Chinese social media platforms that OnePlus’ next-generation flagship phone could arrive in China sometime between October and November. Earlier, OnePlus was rumoured to launch it in early December, just like it did for the OnePlus 12.
Fresh leaks claim that the OnePlus 13 will arrive in China early this year. As for the global launch, rumours suggest that the flagship device could launch outside China in early 2025. Although there are still 1 to 2 months left for the OnePlus 13 launch event, here’s a look at the leaked specs of the upcoming OnePlus phone.
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that the OnePlus 13 may feature a 6.8-inch micro-curved display with 2K resolution, supporting LTPO technology for better battery efficiency. This mirrors the display specifications of the OnePlus 12, suggesting minimal changes in this area.
The OnePlus 13 is likely to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is expected to be released later this year. Camera enhancements include a multi-focal camera system with a periscope telephoto lens, which promises better zoom capabilities. The device is expected to feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens.
Several leaks have suggested different things for the design. Some suggest that significant design changes will be made and some claim that there will be minimal changes. The flagship device is said to feature the same circular camera module at the back that we have seen on the current model. However, the specific details are still under wraps. One notable upgrade is reportedly the introduction of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which enhances the biometric security of the device. Unlike the optical sensor in its predecessor, the ultrasonic sensor will work even with oily or dirty fingers.
To recall, the OnePlus 12 was launched in India in January 2024 at a starting price of Rs 64,999. The OnePlus 13 is also expected to be priced around the same, although there may be possible price adjustments based on new features and upgrades. We will have to wait a few weeks or months to get more details about the upcoming OnePlus flagship phone.
