Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut, reacting to the Chalo Sansad march organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has claimed that members of Parliament inside the Lok Sabha were afraid that protesters might storm Parliament during the monsoon session. The BJP MP from Mandi also praised Delhi Police for preventing any untoward incident.
talking to news agency ANIKangana said, “All the MPs were inside the House. We were all scared, thinking that the mob might attack us. I appreciate the Delhi Police for playing the role of a shield, not allowing people to be harmed.”

Nearly 50,000 supporters joined CJP’s Chalo Sansad march on Monday and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG question paper leak. Protestors were stopped at several places in central Delhi, where police used tear gas shells and lathicharge to disperse the crowd. The protests coincided with the opening day of the monsoon session of Parliament, leading to heightened security in the national capital.
Kangana also talked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting held on Tuesday.
Referring to his comments on youth-related issues, he said the Prime Minister urged MPs to engage with young people and respond constructively to their concerns.
“He talked about what our responsibility is in this regard and how we should deal with these issues,” he told the news agency. PTI.
“He said that we should also talk in detail about our achievements, whether it is in the field of science or in projects like the hydrogen train. He also expressed concern about the lack of discussion on these achievements,” he said.
Kangana Ranaut’s comment on protest
Earlier, the actor, while commenting on the ongoing protests on Monday, had said that the opposition cannot “twist the government’s hand” in deciding who should hold office. His comments also came on a day when the Lok Sabha was adjourned following sloganeering by opposition MPs who demanded a discussion on the NEET controversy and the alleged Ram Temple donation embezzlement case.
Ranaut said that Parliament is the appropriate platform to raise questions and debate public issues. He said, “Our parliamentary session is so that we can discuss all the issues in detail and hold the government accountable for everything. That is its purpose and we want the session to go on and they should raise their questions there, but if they create ruckus and create chaos, as they are doing with this protest, then it is not right.”
Meanwhile, thousands of students and youth have been at Jantar Mantar for more than 20 days. Activist Sonam Wangchuk on Monday (July 20, 2026) announced that she will continue her indefinite hunger strike following the police action on protesters during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s Chalo Sansad march. He said the fast would continue until student leaders were allowed to meet MPs or were allowed to conduct such meetings from the hospital.
The protests highlighted growing anger over the NEET paper leak and irregularities in the CBSE exam process. The protesters also raised slogans demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
