‘O’ Romeo’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri in lead roles is all set to release on the big screens this weekend. The film has started its earnings yesterday, three days before its release. Advance bookings are looking quite good so far and are in the range of Shahid Kapoor’s last two releases, Teri Baton Mein Uljha Jiya and Deva.
As of Wednesday (February 12, 2026), the romantic action drama sold around 10,000 tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film has one more day left to consolidate its hold and close its pre-bookings at respectable figures.
Based on current trends, O’Romeo is going to open its advance booking for around 30,000 admissions across national multiplex chains, which is in line with Pinkvilla predicts. As we anticipated, the film is currently looking to debut at Rs. 4.50 crore to Rs. 7.50 crores, with an accurate prediction of Rs. 6.50 crore nett.
Compared to Shahid Kapoor’s last two releases, O’ Romeo is in a slightly better place. However, this would not be enough for the film as the budget of the film is relatively high. O’Romeo’s fate depends on his word of mouth. If the film is successful in impressing the audience, its collections will see an immediate increase.
Starring Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Disha Patani, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vikrant Massey and Farida Jalal, the star-studded film is clashing with Tu Ya Main on February 13, 2026. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming action love story can mark Shahid Kapoor’s comeback at the box office after the failure of Deva.
