Nvidia launches AI tool that will help Indian gamers transform themselves into game characters

Have you ever wondered what you would look like as your favourite video game character? Or as your favourite superhero movie character? Well, we are in the age of AI, and things previously thought to be impossible are slowly becoming true. And Nvidia has a role to play in it. The chipmaker has redefined gaming and content creation with its powerful RTX GPUs. And at an event in New Delhi this week, the company showcased how it is empowering Indian content creators and gamers by announcing a new lineup of Nvidia Studio PCs. For the Studio PCs, Nvidia collaborated with leading system builders like XRIG, MVP, Ant PC, Vishal Peripherals, and others. These Studio PCs are available through authorised system builders across India and can be identified by the GeForce RTX Studio PC sticker.

Transform into a Ghost of Tsushima character

The XRIG PC being showcased during the event caught my attention and showed how you can transform into any game character with Stable Diffusion running on a PC equipped with Nvidia’s RTX GPU. Not only that, you can make yourself look like any popular fiction character. This tool can be very useful for content creators who regularly need new video thumbnails, promotional campaigns, and more.

When I went to the XRIG PC station, I was greeted with a kind smile and a demo session of the tool. The demonstrator asked if he could click my picture using the PC in real-time and I agreed. After the picture was clicked, I entered a text prompt in the tool asking me to look like a character from the recently launched game on PC – Ghost of Tsushima. And then, the magic happened.

In just a few seconds, right in front of my eyes, the tool started creating an image and displayed various options where I could be seen as the Ghost of Tsushima character. And it kept refining its work until I told it to stop. The best part about this tool is that it can be used offline as well. This is all thanks to Nvidia’s RTX GPUs.

All Nvidia Studio PCs showcased during the event are powered by GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs. These PCs are designed to meet the specific demands of Indian content creators and gamers and are pre-configured to leverage all the benefits of NVIDIA Studio and RTX Al technologies.

Online text-to-image creation tools

In 2024, text-to-image generation is something many of us have experimented with. Tools like Microsoft’s CoPilot and Google’s Gemini have image-generation capabilities and are being widely used around the world. But these free tools have some limitations.

For example, CoPilot and Gemini can only create images based on text prompts and there is no option to modify your own images yet. So, you can’t add that personal touch to your images. Also, these AI tools only work online. So if you’re not connected to the internet, you can’t really create anything.

Moreover, these online AI tools will take their time to create an image, and once the image is created you cannot make any changes to it. If you don’t like what has been created, you will have to create a new image.
