Kristen Bell is all set to romance Adam Brody in the upcoming Netflix series, Nobody Wants This. The actress is currently busy promoting the series, in a conversation with her husband, Dax Shepard on his podcast, The Good Place actress revealed the reason behind coming out of retirement for the new Netflix show.
On the September 16 episode of the podcast, Bell told her husband that she wanted to relax a bit and when the offer was presented to her, she found it to be a perfect opportunity.
During her appearance on the podcast, the actress was accompanied by her co-star Adam Brody, who will play a rabbi named Noah.
Meanwhile, speaking about getting back on set to perform on screen again, Bell said, “There’s a desire to be creative and get out of the house a bit because I’ve spent the last few years being a full-time mom.” She added, “And although I’ve enjoyed it, I think I’ve laid a good foundation here, and I felt like I was losing myself a bit in it.”

The podcast host explained in the episode that the actress had simply taken a break from acting while she worked on other projects, including becoming a producer. “I was looking forward to performing again,” Bell said.
She added, “And when I stopped performing, I think a couple of years ago, I was so tired of it. I was tired of hair and makeup. I was tired of looking forward. I was like, ‘I just want to be behind the scenes and be creative.'”
The Frozen star revealed that several other projects were presented to her, but she was confident about the new Netflix show and planned to go ahead with it.
As for Nobody Wants This, the series will star Brody and Bell as the main characters who fall in love with each other, while those around them turn against the couple. According to the show’s official synopsis, “An outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi form an unexpected relationship.”
Nobody Wants This will stream on Netflix from September 26.
