SS Rajamouli caught the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 (Waves) in Mumbai on 1 May today. Taking the stage, he addressed the audience and said that India is a land of stories and storytellers for thousands of years. He mentioned that there were millions of stories from the Puranas and Einhas in the country.
The SSMB29 filmmaker reported that India had many languages, each of which had a history of hundreds of years. He said that the story was part of India’s DNA. SS Rajamouli believed that no other country in the world could match the culture of our rich and vibrant story.
However, he said that India was still not with other countries on the international stage. The RRR director expressed full confidence in India’s capacity. He felt that the country needed only one launchpad.
In the words of SS Rajamouli, “There are many languages in our country – each language has a history of hundreds of years. There are millions of stories from our history, and we have countless art forms – among them – so, hundreds of stories in Arabs are infinite.”
The Director of RRR further said, “No country in the world comes close to India in terms of this rich, vibrant culture of storytelling. But still, on the international platform, we are not equal to the United States, South Korea, China and other countries. I have no doubt in that power.

Apart from SS Rajamouli, celebrities including Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Mohanlal are participating in waves in 2025. Many videos of his arrival have gone viral in social media platforms.
In a recent video, Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya were seen reaching the venue in their ethnic best. Both of them closed each other while attending the ceremony. He was associated with Nagarjuna.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth met his 2.0 co-star Akshay Kumar at the event and hugged him. Mohanlal also shared a glimpse of the ceremony on his social media handle.
