Rishabh Sahni will be making his Telugu debut as Ahmed Shah Abdali and his modern reincarnation in Nagabandham. The role casts him in the two-part fantasy thriller ahead of the film’s planned summer 2026 release.

Actor Rishabh Sahni is all set to debut in Telugu cinema NagabandhamIt is a fantasy adventure drama scheduled to release on July 3, 2026. The actor, who grabbed attention with his performance as Azhar Akhtar in Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter, will be seen in a very different role in the upcoming film.

Makers have released its trailer Nagabandham On June 19, a glimpse of Sahni as Ahmed Shah Abdali, one of the film’s main antagonists, was unveiled. According to reports, the actor has undergone extensive preparation for the role, including training in sword fighting and learning Pashto to accurately portray the historical figure.

What makes his character even more interesting is that Sahni is reportedly playing a double role in the film. Apart from playing the role of Ahmed Shah Abdali, he will also be seen as the modern reincarnation of the character, whose story will unfold across two time periods.

Apart from Sahni and Virat Karna, the film stars Ishwarya Menon, Nabha Natesh, Murali Sharma, Jaya Prakash, BS Avinash and Anasuya Bhardwaj in lead roles.

Backed by NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, Nagabandham is planned as a multilingual release and is expected to release in theaters in summer 2026.
