He said, “If you feel that things are not going in the right direction, you have every right to protest. This is the democratic way to deal with autocracy, dictatorship or any kind of tyranny. Protest is a very important part of our democracy. It is your civil right to protest, but in the right way.”
The actor expressed concern over the increasing number of student suicides reportedly linked to exam-related stress and irregularities, saying it reflects a generation that is losing hope.
He said, “When students are dying by suicide, it means that our future generation is feeling hopeless. If the government is not reacting to this, then it is extremely insensitive. These students are our children. Many students are from middle-class and lower-middle-class families, who cannot afford to go abroad. They have to study and build their future in India. If schools are being closed and exam papers are being leaked, then the government has to take responsibility.”

He said, “Young students are being beaten. I am actually crying inside. I feel I should go there and talk to the students instead of watching them being tortured.
