"Must go for MasterChef": Internet praises woman who made viral green momos

No foodie can refuse to devour a plate full of momos. And when they are served with fiery red chutney and mayonnaise, the satisfaction reaches a whole new level. Typically, momos – whether steamed, fried or pan-fried – are made with all-purpose flour. Many health-conscious people also give them a healthy twist by using wheat flour. But have you ever had momos made with curry leaves and coriander leaves? If not, then this video is for you. In the clip shared on Instagram, a woman is seen making potato-stuffed momos, but with these aromatic herbs. The caption reads “New momo recipe”.

The video begins with the woman making a green paste from curry and coriander leaves. In a bowl, she adds flour and sprinkles some salt. She then pours the paste into the bowl and mixes it with her hands to make a green coloured dough.

In the next step, the woman adds chopped and boiled potatoes in a separate bowl. She also adds grated onion, chilli pieces and 2 garlic cloves. She then adds a generous amount of paneer to the mixture and once again mixes all the ingredients. The woman suggests that all the ingredients should be mashed properly. After that, she rolls out four rotis – two from the normal flour and two from the green flour. She stacks them on top of each other and flattens them again. The stacked rotis are then folded into a cylindrical shape and cut in half. The woman also uses a thread to take out small round pieces from the cylindrical dough.

When everything is done, the woman flattens the dough and makes vertical marks with a knife. She presses it gently with her hand and forms a shell shape. After placing the potato stuffing inside, the woman steams the dish. And lo, the momos are ready. The clip ends with the woman’s husband tasting the momos. He gives a thumbs up sign, indicating that the dumplings were great.

The post sparked immediate reaction on the Internet.

“Creativity at its best,” one person praised.

“You should go for Master Chef,” suggested another.

One comment read, “God designed your brain with his own hands. I’m at a loss for words.”

“This should be served in a fancy restaurant at a great price,” one person said.

Someone else praised, “You are always different and innovative.”

Expressing similar sentiments, a user wrote, “Wow, amazing, you are so talented.”
