The trailer of Sanya Malhotra starrer Mrs. was premiered at the prestigious Kala Ghoda Festival on January 25. Set to stream on ZEE5 from February 7, the film will explore the challenges faced by women as they deal with societal expectations, gender inequality and personal ambitions.
Produced by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and directed by Aarti Kadav, Mrs. is the story of Richa, a young bride who dreams of becoming a dancer. After her marriage, Richa finds herself immersed in endless household chores, her ambitions far removed from her traditional family’s expectations. The film examines the silent struggles faced by women within the patriarchal system and also tells an inspiring story of defiance and transformation.

The trailer gives the audience a glimpse of Richa’s journey as she grapples with the monotony of domestic life and the pressure to conform. Faced with constant reminders that “the kitchen is a woman’s domain,” she begins to question whether she will lose herself completely or take a bold step to reclaim her identity.

The film also stars Sanya Malhotra along with Kanwaljeet Singh, Nishant Dahiya and Kanwaljeet Singh.
The film will start streaming on Zee5 from February 7.
