The company announced its Q1 results after market hours on Thursday. Its revenue from operations, meanwhile, grew by over 25% year-on-year during the quarter under review to Rs. 3,426 crore, which in the corresponding period of the previous year was Rs. 2,738 crore was recorded. Total expenditure in the first quarter of FY27 increased by 42% YoY to Rs. 1,898 crores.
Motilal Oswal said that in Q1 it had Rs. 1,513 crore to its highest ever operating profit after tax (PAT), showing a 14% year-on-year growth, driven by a strong 73% growth in profit from its asset management business at Rs. 245 crores. This segment is now the largest contributor to the firm’s overall PAT at 40%. Total assets under management (AUM) grew by 31% YoY to Rs. 2.12 lakh crore has been done.
The private wealth management segment saw a 42% year-on-year growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR), while AUM grew by 37%. “MOFSL has a 10-year track record of 33% operating PAT CAGR, Earnings per share (EPS) CAGR of 28% and average return on equity (ROE) delivered entirely through internal accruals with no dilution. During the same period, net worth CAGR and 25% after buyback fully paid back through internal accruals,” the company said.

Motilal Oswal highlighted that it has delivered 28% net worth CAGR over the last six years. The company’s wealth management segment saw a strong bounce on rising annuity streams – ARR revenue rose 26% YoY to Rs. 304 crore, while the loan book grew by 33% YoY to Rs. 7,388 crores.
“Crisil has upgraded our long-term credit rating to AA+ stable. This reflects the strength of our franchise and the resilience of our business model which is designed to deliver sustainable growth across market cycles. Focus on annuity income contributed 66%, improving business quality and predictability,” the company continued.

Shares of the company have fallen more than 2% in a week but on Thursday rose more than 1% in a month to Rs. closed at 940. The stock is up more than 12% overall so far in 2026.
Over the long term, Motilal Oswal shares have returned 4% in one year, 409% in three years and 258% in five years. The market capitalization of the company is Rs. 56,878 crores is over.
