Soon after AR Rahman and Saira announced their separation, bassist Mohini Dey revealed that she has separated from her husband Mark Hartsuch. In a new social media post, Mohini has now addressed the speculations linking both the announcements. Responding to the trolls, she urged everyone to respect her privacy and shared that she had declined interview requests saying that she did not want to waste her energy on baseless rumours.
“I have been receiving a large number of requests for interviews and I know exactly what it’s about, so I have to respectfully decline each one as I have no interest in fueling ABSOLUTE BS. I believe It’s not worth wasting my energy on rumors. Please respect my privacy,” read Mohini’s caption.

Earlier in the day, AR Rahman’s son Amin strongly condemned “baseless” rumors linking his parents’ separation to bassist Mohini Dey.
Amin set the record straight from one post His Instagram read, “My father is a legend, not only for his incredible contributions, but for the values, respect and love he has earned over the years. It is disappointing to see false and baseless rumors being spread. Let us all remember the importance of truth and respect when speaking about someone’s life and legacy. Please avoid engaging in or spreading such misinformation. Let’s respect and protect their dignity and the incredible impact they have had on all of us. #EPI (sic).”
On November 19, Saira Banu through her lawyer… released a statement regarding the couple’s decision to end their marriage.

AR Rahman and Saira Banu were married in 1995 in Chennai.
