Directed by Karthik Gattamaneni, Mirai, and starring Teja in the lead role, has finally come to theaters today. Fantasy Action Adventure film has made a comeback to Teja Sajja to the silver screen after its blockbuster film Hanuman. Originally a Telugu film, it was released in many languages including Hindi. For records, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is distributing Mirai in the Hindi belt.

Set against the backdrop of a fantasy and mythological world, Mirai opened a net of Rs 1.25 crore at the Hindi box office, lower than Teja’s Hanuman inauguration. The film needs to increase well on Saturday and Sunday to reach a respectable number in the North Indian belt.
It was opened for a favorable reception with some criticisms towards its runtime and comic gags. However, the film has the ability to take and raise through a successful dramatic run in North India. It will be interesting to see how the film performs in the weekend and then in the week days.
Mirai has the advantage of no significant release in Hindi at the end of this week. However, it will have to face Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 from the second weekend. Let us see if Mirai can continue the successful line of Teja decoration in Hindi market.
