The next day, when he walked into the interview room, he initially seemed a little reserved. It was a busy event, and the room was dimly lit, designed more for cameras than conversation. Matt described working with Nolan as an actor’s dream and praised the filmmaker’s preparation and clarity. Matt also reflected on why Homer’s epic continues to resonate thousands of years later. Instead of seeing it as an ancient text, he told it as a story based on deep human emotions. He said, “It’s about homecoming. It’s about family. It’s about war. It’s about death. It’s about regrets.” He explained that every generation finds its own meaning in this story, which is why it has endured for more than three millennia. Tom, on the other hand, opened up about his partner Zendaya getting “perfect” from Nolan and why it never sparked jealousy in him.

The mood remained light when the conversation focused on Indian cinema. Matt gave credit to his co-star’s dancing skills and immediately said that if anyone could make a Bollywood film, it would be Tom. Tom laughed at the suggestion, admitting that he would be willing to act in an Indian film if the opportunity arose. He also shared that he loves the way Indian fans celebrate his films and often watch their reactions online.
