Mardaani 3 starring Rani Mukherjee in the lead role is going to be released on the big screen in a few hours. The police action drama has completed its advance sales by selling around 15,000 tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. Of these, approximately 11,500 tickets were sold at PVRINOX, while the remaining 3500 admissions were recorded at Cinepolis.
Apart from the national chains, Abhiraj Meenawala’s film sold around 500 tickets at MovieMax on the first day. Overall the film collected Rs. Advance sales of Rs 75 lakh on the first day. Most of the advances and then collections will come from the national chains, which is absolutely fine, because the film does not need to do well everywhere.
The positive thing for Mardaani 3 is that it has been made on a controlled budget. Also, it will be a tight release, which is a good strategy. Since the producers have already made a good deal on non-theatrical mediums, there is not much burden on the film. However, it will have to prove its worth on the content front.
If the film succeeds in impressing the audience tomorrow and receives positive reception among the audience, it will see an immediate increase in its collections. Based on advance bookings and current trends, the Rani Mukherjee starrer is expected to make around Rs. 3 crore to Rs. 3.50 crore at the Indian box office, which is in line with Pinkvilla Predicts’ forecast.
