Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has taken the entire country by storm with his recently released film Marco. Known as India’s bloodiest film, Marco has increased Unni Mukundan’s popularity all over India. Mukundan plays the lead character, who can go to any extent for his family. Many people have also called this film the beginning of Mukundan’s journey to stardom. In an exclusive interview with India Today Digital, Mukundan shared that he wants to explore stardom because as a star, he can do things that an actor unfortunately cannot do.

Discussing the success, Unni Mukundan told us, “It (the film) is a story of growing from an actor to a star. I don’t believe in it (stardom), but it’s also something I want to explore. ” His film Marco’s.

He further added, “I have seen people go from newcomers to good actors, stars and superstars. This is something I would like to explore because what an actor can’t do, a star can do.”

Clarifying his stand he said, “A star can always bring good cinema, can provide a platform to make good cinema if he wants to. Due to market limitations an actor can only do good films. Sad That’s something that an actor can do.” I will bring good cinema, whereas if I become a star, I can do a lot of other things, so stardom is important for me.

In the same interview, Unni Mukundan told that about 300 liters of blood-like substance was used for the film.Which has made headlines for the amount of bloodshed depicted. He also said that he had put the same substance on his eye to make it look redder and more authentic and his doctor later told him that he could have lost his eye.

Marco is currently playing in theaters nationwideThe film was released simultaneously in Malayalam and Hindi on 20 December, and later in Telugu and Tamil on 1 and 3 January respectively.
