Manoj Bajpayee’s critically acclaimed film, The Fable, directed by Ram Reddy, has been selected to compete at the Seminci Film Festival in Valladolid, Spain. It is the only Indian film to make it to the Meeting Point Official Selection Competition of the film festival.

After its world premiere at the 74th Berlin Film Festival, where it received rave reviews, The Fable will now have its Spanish premiere at SEMINCI, which is being held from October 18 to 26. The film will compete with winners from other top film festivals around the world, including Cannes Critics’ Week, Venice, Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, Locarno Film Festival, among others.

Director Ram Reddy expressed his happiness over the selection, saying, “It is an incredible honor to be selected in competition at Seminary, as we will be competing with many winners from top festivals around the world.”

Manoj Bajpayee, who plays the lead role in the film, shared his experience of shooting for The Fable and his excitement for the film to be screened at SEMINCI. He said, “Shooting for The Fable has been a miraculous and magical journey. Despite facing many challenges, including the pandemic, we stayed determined and completed the film. I am thrilled that The Fable has already been selected for the competition section at the Berlin Film Festival, and now, SEMINCI has given it yet another feather in its cap.”
