Actor Madhuri Dixit and producer Gunite Monga recently shared their point as to how women are still struggling with payment inequality during a special session, titled ‘The Journey of Woman in Cinema’, which is organized by the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). The Grand Award ceremony will be held in Pink City on 8-9 March.

Addressing the salary equality in cinema, Dixit said, “I think they have to prove themselves again and again for women and to say that we are equal, we can attract the audience, we can do this, but we have to prove it every time. Yes, there is still a inequality. We still have a long way to go. We still have a long way to go. We have to do not do so every day.”

The Oscar-winning manufacturer Gunait also shared his views on the subject during the session, which was held as part of International Women’s Day.
“There is a salary difference. I want men and actors to answer such questions. We are already at the end. Create more opportunities for women. Look at Stree 2. If we have films like these, we will get closer to it, ”Monga said.

During a conversation with IIFA Vice President, Noren Khan, two major women of Indian cinema also got clear about their remarkable visits, developed role in cinema and those obstacles in shaping the industry.

Meanwhile, the International Indian Film Academy is all Set to celebrate 25 brilliant years of connecting Bollywood with the worldWhile the IIFA awards have been traditionally held at international places, this year, the ceremonies are coming home in India, which begins with culturally rich and beautiful city of Jaipur.

The first phase of IIFA 2025 will be held from 7 to 9 March In JECC (Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center). This three -day gala will be packed with unforgettable events, performances and tribute to some of Bollywood’s biggest milestones. Karthik Aryan will join Karan Johar as hosts for this year’s celebrations.
